What self-rescuers are and why they matter
Self-rescuers, also known as escape breathing apparatus or emergency devices, are personal protective equipment that supplies breathable air for a limited time and allows users to evacuate an area contaminated or depleted of oxygen. DEZEGA models, including the CARBO series, use chemical oxygen (KO2). In closed-circuit devices, potassium superoxide reacts with carbon dioxide and moisture in exhaled air to generate breathable oxygen and isolate the user from the outside atmosphere. They are intended for environments at risk of fire, explosion or sudden release of hazardous substances.

DEZEGA CARBO range

CARBO 60 has a nominal escape duration of 60 minutes, uses chemical oxygen (KO2), and includes an automatic starter and anti-fog system. Its ergonomic design and ease of use suit complex scenarios or longer escape routes. CARBO 30 has a nominal escape duration of 30 minutes, uses chemical oxygen (KO2), is lightweight and compact, can be donned and activated quickly, and has a robust case. It suits rapid evacuation and can be carried on a belt or shoulder strap. Both models are available through FAIT.
